L-R: Chan Meng Fye, Chew Leng Soon and Ching Neng Bin on the road in Thailand.

“This trip is a dedication to the late Bernard Lee Kar Giap and the fulfillment of his planned trip”.

I-san also written as Isaan consists of 20 provinces in the northeastern region of Thailand. Isan is Thailand's largest region, located on the Khorat Plateau, bordered by the Mekong River (along the border with Laos) to the north and east and by Cambodia to the southeast.

Early in the year, 8 of us bought our air tickets, however, 4 pax withdrew due to work commitment. So we were left with 4 names and happened to have the first alphabet starts with the letter C, hence the 4Cs backpackers: Chan Meng Fye, Chew Leng Soon, Chia Chai Ling and Ching Neng Bin.
