2015 - North-Eastern Thailand and Laos - Day 21

North-Eastern (I-San) Thailand and Laos, 16 Nov - 10 Dec 2015 (25days)

Dining hall at Saphai Pae Backpackers hostel.

Day 21 (6.12.2015) Bangkok - rest day and dinner at Royal Bangkok Sports Club

Day 21 is basically a rest day with no specific visitation. Chew Leng Soon would be flying back home the next day as he has to fly to China with his family soon. Denise Chia Chai Ling texted us at 10.48am to inform that she was at the airport on the way home to KL and we duly wished her a safe flight home.

After another fantastic buffet breakfast or brunch at Saphai Pae hostel we walked out to visit Robinson Department Store in Bangrak and then the Bangrak Bazaar. In the evening, Eddie and Adeline Chang came to fetch us from our hostel for another dinner at The Royal Bangkok Sports Club, Pathum Wan, Bangkok. It was another fantastic dinner in 21 days with so much to eat and drink. After dinner, Eddie drove us to see the street lights and decorations by the river in conjunction with the King’s birthday.

Dear Adeline Chang and Eddie,
We would like to thank both of you for your hospitality and the lovely dinners at Taling Pling and The Royal Bangkok Sports Club. The food and drinks were excellent. We had good time together and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was really good to have met you and would thank you again for the wonderful dinners and fabulous company. Please take care and hope to see you in KL.

The busy Bangrak Bazaar next to the large Robison Department Store. Most stalls cater to young women, office workers and college students with very fair prices.

We had very good 'tong shui' in one of the shops near Bangrak Bazaar.
